The Fall of Man Has Reopened!

The Fall of Man has finally reopened!

Welcome to all our new members, and welcome back to our returning members!

This news post is mainly for our returning members, and its purpose is to give a heads up to all the changes from the last version to this version!

Major Changes

• Carnivores are the only playable animal types now, and we did this to make food, transportation, and pack animals more commonplace and specific. We understand Omnivores are a gray area here, and as such, they are not to be played onsite and instead will be treated as food, transportation, or pack animals.
• Our technology level is about the same as before. We made some clarifications that'll hopefully make it clearer to understand what's obtainable and allowed.
• We introduced some character limitations to hopefully keep the animal to human ratio a bit more balanced this time around. For every ONE animal character you play, you can play TWO human characters.
  
  • We understand that some players here might be more comfortable playing human characters over animal ones, but TFM is animal-focused, and if we have more humans than animals, plotting gets difficult, given the humans in our RP do not have many rights or freedoms.
• Applications are now REQUIRED, and you MUST WAIT for them to be accepted before roleplaying. This is in place to be able to ensure everyone is following the character limitations. Our application is still a straight-forward "write what you want" template, though we're asking all of you to at least give a basis for your character!
• Player Accounts are no longer used. Please don't make them! Alternatively, please fill in your "Player Name" when asked in your profile and app, so we know who you are and who you play!
• Humes no longer receive a "special serum" and instead are just selectively bred smaller and weaker. Humans have shrunk over the years due to malnutrition and poor living conditions; animals utilize these "favorable" qualities when breeding. If you're planning to join with a animal-bred Hume, they will be smaller than average by about 2 FT!
• We require ALL active characters to make a minimum of 1 post a month to remain active on TFM! This is put in place to just ensure that all our current members are roleplaying actively!
• Cryptids were removed. We thought they were awkward to have around in the first place, and while special, they didn't really make too much sense being an available character to play.
• A head of hair is now acceptable! It's rare, though widely heard of by all and socially acceptable. We thought the inclusion of this would allow people to use art of their fursonas for characters on TFM, and that's always cool!

New Information

The above list does NOT cover everything, and still, we expect everyone - returning or not - to read all our information pages before roleplaying here! Many things have changed, and we can't list out everything in a tight, neat, little list. C:

Once You've Read Everything, Dive In!

Once you all have your characters sorted from the old board, please create new applications for them and do all as if you're joining a new forum -- because you technically are! If you have any questions, please ask us on the Help board or on Discord (for a faster response, likely).

There is no limit to how many characters you can have total, but please heed the (1)animal:(2)human ratio! If you're goal is to play 5 humans on board, please ensure you've joined with three animal characters first!
