- Set on March 15, around 4:00 PM, year 2755
The large saltwater crocodile slowly walked with his long scaled tail gently swaying behind him as he wandered around Little Ifre, his slit-shaped pupils observing the beauty the residential area had. He hummed quietly a melody he recalled his mother often singing when he was a young reptile, unfortunately he did not remember the lyrics. Marrok thought that it was quite a shame that he didn’t live in Little Ifre, it was peaceful and the sight was pleasant, the only reason he lived in Lower Collinwood was that it was closer to the Cedarville Forest. The motive he was wandering around Little Ifre was that he had gone to the Markay Strip to deliver some carcasses that a butcher had paid him to hunt. Now a small bag full of coins was tied on a makeshift necklace made of rope, he had originally thought about letting the bag in his pockets but he feared it being stolen when he wasn’t looking. He stopped on his tracks upon witnessing a pigeon hitting a red stop sign and slumped on the ground. Marrok blinked two times to make sure he wasn’t seeing some sort of visual hallucination, the unconscious bird did not disappear from his vision. The crocodile crouched and gently poked the passed out herbivore bird with one of his claws without injuring it, seeing more closely he noticed that it was in fact a carrier pigeon and there was something tied to it. Marrok to the piece of paper from the pigeon, opened it with curiosity evident in his reptilian eyes and read the paper’s contents. Curiosity was replaced with shock and surprise. It was easy to identify that the contents on the piece of paper belonged to a rebel, probably from a carnivore that desired to free humes, and likely was destined to another rebel. The saltwater crocodile was neutral toward the rebels but not fully understanding why they would want to free domesticated humans, couldn’t they just be content with protecting already wild humans from getting domesticated as well? Marrok mentaly weighted what consequences would his actions bring if he ignored the message or if he tried to track down the message’s sender and give back them the message and the unconscious pigeon. He could just easily pretend that he never had come across the pigeon and live on with his life, but it would leave him feeling some sort of guilt for the message to never reach who it was intended to receive it. With a sigh he gently grabbed the herbivore bird from the floor with the message and got up from his crouching position. His scaled snout approached the passed out bird, he gave a long sniff, making the some feathers gently sway as the scent entered his nostrils. Closing his reptilian eyes he kept how the bird smelled in his mind, he could tell that it belonged to a canine. The large reptile opened his eyes and started to slowly follow the scent of the pigeon back to wherever it had come from, he noticed that the bird had probably stopped a lot of times during its flight, probably to rest. He wandered for some time, following the passed out pigeon’s scent with the objective of returning it to its owner. Marrok stopped on his tracks when he managed to find the carnivore the feathered creature belonged to, he could tell by the scent. The pigeon probably hadn’t flown for long since its owner’s scent was still stuck to its feathers and body, it was probably expected that it would have lost the scent when it had arrived at the location it was supposed to go. The saltwater crocodile unfortunately wasn’t able to see how their face looked like, he could only see the canine’s back.
